Starthilfe für WiPort-Erstkonfiguration?

Hallo zusammen,

habe meine Erweiterungsplatine vervollständigt und bin leider auch nach Foren-Suche, Lektüre von Funkmodul, Massenspeicher und Klappe für den c't-Bot und FAQ/Funkmodul überfordert, den WiPort in Betrieb zu nehmen.

Erste Verwirrung war die Bildunterschrift des ct-Artikels:

Das Erweiterungsmodul bringt den Bot ins LAN und WLAN. Aber auch USB bleibt nach wie vor eine Option, um mit dem Bot zu kommunizieren (Schalter nach vorn). Zeigt der kleine Schalter nach hinten, kann man über den USB-2-Bot-Adapter den WiPort konfigurieren. Das Foto zeigt einen Prototyp.

...bedeutet für mich: sowohl Schalter nach vorne als auch nach hinten aktiviert die USB-Kommunikation. Was verstehe ich hier falsch?

Zweiter Verwirrung beim FAQ-Eintrag "Der Lantronix Device-Installer findet den WiPort nicht (mehr). Wie komme ich an den Baustein heran?":

Über den USB-2-Bot-Adapter kommt man aber wieder ins Konfigurationsmenü des WiPort. Dazu verbindet man den Adapter mit J12 -- Pin 1 liegt auf der dem Transportfach abgewandten Seite. Nun nimmt man ein Terminalprogramm wie das Windows-eigene Hyperterm und stellt die Übertragungsrate auf 9600 Baud (8N1). Die Flusskontrolle schaltet man ab. Hält man nun während dem Einschalten des c't-Bot die x-Taste auf der PC-Tastatur gedrückt, sollte im Terminalprogramm das Text-Menü zur Konfiguration des WiPort auftauchen.

...ich habe bisher über avrdude nur geflasht und versucht, den dafür gewohnten Befehl anzupassen und den Hinweisen naiv zu folgen, daher:

1. Bot ausgeschaltet
2. Adapter an J12 (in meinem Fall ein TTL-232R-5V statt des org. USB-2-Bot-Adapters, da es diesen nicht mehr gab)
3. avrdude-Befehl abschicken, gefolgt von Bot anschalten, gefolgt von "x" im Terminal gedrückt halten

Dabei kommt dann folgendes heraus:

Ich nehme an, avrdude -c avr109 -p m1284p -P /dev/ttyUSB0 -u -b 9600 ist für diesen Fall nicht korrekt. Hätte jemand Hinweise für mich, die Verbindung zum WiPort für dessen Ersteinrichtung herzustellen?

eax hat mich aufgeklärt: ich habe "Terminal" und "Terminal-Programm" nicht unterschieden. Mit "minicom" ging dann soweit alles wie beschrieben.

Über LAN klappte der Telnet-Zugriff per Kommandozeile, über WLAN scheint die Verbindung zu meinem Router (konfiguriert auf "(WPA2 (AES)") nicht zu klappen. Aktuelle WiPort-Config (Software version V6.3.0.2 (061024)):

"AES", das laut meinem (Billig-)Router verwendet wird, gab es nicht, allerdings schien mit laut https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/WPA2 CCMP die korrekte Einstellung zu sein, wenn ich den folgenden Satz richtig verstehe:

WPA2 verwendet den Verschlüsselungsstandard AES, wenn CCMP als Protokoll verwendet wird.

Hat jemand eine Idee, was ich hier für eine erfolgreiche WLAN-Verbindung noch testen könnte?

also zum Wiport kann ich nix sagen, nur allgemein zu WPA2: manchmal ist es (leider) ein Problem, wenn im Passwort Sonderzeichen sind.

Da ich die Gelegenheit bekam, ein Gäste-Netz mit einem recht einfachen Passwort (8 Zeichen, nur Kleinbuchstaben und Ziffern) zu verwenden: hier konnte ich den WiPort problemlos ins WLAN holen. Lag also tatsächlich an der Komplexität meines Passwortes, danke!

Jeder beliebige PC mit einem Webbrowser kann den c't-Bot - ohne weitere Software-Installation - kontrollieren, wenn man den im WiPort integrierten Webserver nutzt. Dieser bietet 1,2 MByte Platz für Webseiten und Java-Applets - auf die der Bot selbst aber ohne Weiteres keinen Zugriff hat. Der Device-Installer übernimmt den Transfer der Daten auf den Webserver. Der c't-Sim lässt sich in einer abgespeckten Version als Java-Applet übersetzen. Ob das Applet aber mit einer aktuellen Java- und Browser-Versionen noch funktioniert, weiß ich nicht. Ich selbst habe es nie benutzt und würde auch eher davon abraten. Die vollwertige Sim-Applikation mit dem Bot/WiPort zu verbinden ist deutlich einfacher (Klick auf den entsprechenden Button) und kann auch mehr (z.B. Live-Ansicht der Umgebungskarte, Programm-Upload).

Wenn Du eh meinst, dass das wenig Sinn macht, belasse ich es dabei. Was sollte ich im Wiki vermerken? "Code veraltet, funktioniert nicht mehr"?

Die vollwertige Sim-Applikation mit dem Bot/WiPort zu verbinden ist deutlich einfacher (Klick auf den entsprechenden Button) und kann auch mehr (z.B. Live-Ansicht der Umgebungskarte, Programm-Upload).

Eigenartig ist, dass sich manche Verhalten (zB CATCH_PILLAR_AVAILABLE ) über Fernbedienung/Bot-Display scheinbar ganz anders "verhalten" als über die Remote-Calls-Funktion (in beiden Fällen machen sie dennoch nicht, was sie sollen). Ich werde das aber nochmal genau vergleichen und dann separat berichten.

Die Fehlermeldung sieht für mich so aus, als ob das "nur" ein Problem mit der Dateigröße der erstellten Applet-Teile ist, vermutlich, weil der Sim im Laufe der Zeit umfangreicher geworden ist. Für den WiPort muss man das Applet in mehrere kleinere Jar-Dateien aufteilen (das macht das Script da) und diese Aufteilung passt jetzt wohl nicht mehr zu der maximalen Größe der einzelnen Teile für den WiPort. Wahrscheinlich müsste man die Aufteilung des Applets ändern, so das mehr kleinere Dateien erzeugt werden. Das ist aber nur eine Vermutung nach meiner Interpretation der Fehlermeldung.
